How We Approach Each Engagement
Before any AI is deployed, we conduct a structured intake process. For research organisations this means understanding your archive structure, your briefing format, and the criteria your analysts use when assessing papers. For publishers, we map your acquisition criteria and the format your editors expect in a reader's report. For cultural institutions, we begin with an ethics review and a set of curator workshops.
The AI is configured to reflect what we learn in that intake phase, not to produce generic output that your team then has to filter. Human review is built into every delivery cycle, and quarterly calibration reviews ensure the configuration stays aligned with how your work is actually developing.

Summarization

A summarization service for policy research centres and think tanks that reads newly archived papers and prepares internal briefing notes for researchers and directors. Every brief is reviewed by a senior analyst before circulation. The service is designed so that researchers spend their time on the reasoning and implications of research, not on the preliminary task of locating and digesting newly archived material.
The service includes archive onboarding (we learn your archive structure and tagging conventions), briefing template design (we produce a template format your researchers will actually use), and quarterly content reviews (we assess whether the briefs are meeting your researchers' needs and adjust accordingly).

What the editor receives
The AI produces a summary reader's report covering: manuscript summary, alignment with publisher criteria, notable strengths, areas of concern, and a preliminary assessor recommendation. The editor reads this before preparing their own assessment — it is an input to their judgement, not a replacement for it.
Editors retain full acquisition authority at all times.

Manuscript Review Support

A first-read assistant for commissioning editors that reviews incoming manuscripts against the publisher's criteria, producing a summary reader's report editors use to prepare their own. Editors retain full authority on acquisition decisions. The service is not designed to replace editorial judgement — it is designed to ensure that when a manuscript reaches a commissioning editor, some preliminary analytical work has already been done.
Includes criteria calibration (we work with your editorial team to document and operationalise your acquisition criteria), pilot deployment on selected manuscripts (before full rollout), and a quarterly calibration review (to ensure the criteria are being applied as intended and to address any emerging edge cases).

Data Confidentiality
Institutional data is treated as confidential. No client data is used for training or shared with third parties. Confidentiality terms are included in every engagement agreement.
Quarterly Performance Review
Every engagement includes a scheduled quarterly review meeting. We bring a written assessment of output quality and criteria alignment. You bring feedback from your team. Together we decide what to adjust.
Criteria Document
Before deployment begins, we produce a written criteria document. This belongs to your institution, is updated at each quarterly review, and is written in terms that make sense to your professional staff.
Technical Integration
We handle all technical integration with your existing systems. No in-house technical staff are required. We document what we have done and how, so your institution is not dependent on our continued involvement to understand the setup.
Fixed Monthly Pricing
Monthly fees are fixed and all-inclusive. No variable charges by volume of material processed. Formal quotations and invoicing are available for institutional procurement requirements.
